Community Support
Championing Local Enrichment and Educational Outreach: Teesdale Renewables’ Dedicated Contribution to Our Community
Teesdale Renewables is deeply rooted in the local community, actively contributing to various initiatives that go beyond our core services. We are committed to enriching the lives of those around us through meaningful engagement and support.
Our community involvement includes sponsoring numerous local sports clubs and teams. We’ve been proud supporters of Barnard Castle Football Club, Barnard Castle Cricket Club, and Middleton in Teesdale Cricket Club. Our efforts here aim to nurture young talent and promote healthy, active lifestyles. Additionally, our support extends to various youth football teams, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork among the younger generation.
In the realm of education, we have taken proactive steps to engage with local schools. A memorable experience was when we invited the Owls class from St Mary’s School in Barnard Castle to our showroom. This visit offered the students a practical look at renewable energy systems. Our team was delighted to share knowledge and equally impressed by the students’ curiosity and understanding of renewable energy.
Furthermore, our annual ‘Christmas Jumper’ day is a cherished tradition, where we raise funds for the charity ‘Save the Children’. This event is a reflection of our dedication to not just environmental sustainability, but also to the social well-being and prosperity of our community.
This year, through the generous contributions of our team members during our Christmas Jumper day, we raised £97 for Save the Children. As part of our wider Christmas charitable giving, we were also delighted to donate £150 each to the TCR Hub and The Clique, supporting these vital local organisations in their important work within our community.
School Visits for National Apprenticeship Week 2024
We were delighted to host Year 10 students fromAlston Moor Federation School at Teesdale Renewables to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week. Led by our Managing Director, Adam Bainbridge, and HR Manager, Nicola Coulthard, the students explored various renewable energy solutions we specialise in, including biomass boilers, air and ground source heat pumps, and solar panels.
They toured our site and warehouse, gaining insights into our operations. A highlight was hearing from Joel, our second-year apprentice, who shared his valuable experiences and daily tasks, offering a real-life perspective on apprenticeships within our company.
